“When endowed David and Solomon with knowledge, and they said, “Praise God for blessing us more than many of His believing servants.” Ant 27:15 | Holy Quran
David, the King of the Jewish people, along with the story with Goliath, is confirmed in the Holy Quran Heifer 2:249-252, “When Saul took command of the troops, he said, ‘God is putting you to the test by means of a stream. Anyone who drinks from it does not belong with me – only those who do not taste it belong with me – unless it is just a single sip.’ They drank from it, except a few of them. When he crossed it with those who believed, they said, ‘Now we lack the strength to face Goliath and his troops.’ Those who were conscious of meeting God said, ‘Many a small army defeated a large army by God’s leave. God is with t hose who steadfastly persevere.’ When they faced Goliath and his troops, they prayed, ‘Our Lord, grant us steadfastness, strengthen our foothold, and support us against the disbelieving people.’ They defeated them by God’s leave, and David killed Goliath. God gave him kingship and wisdom, and taught him as He willed. If it were not for God’s support of some people against others, there would be chaos on earth. But God showers his grace upon the people.”
The Psalms are decreed multiple times in the Holy Quran, most notably, in the verse Children of Israel 17:55, “Your Lord is the best knower of everyone in the heavens and the earth. In accordance with this knowledge, we preferred some prophets over others. For example, we gave David the Psalms.”
The is ample evidence for any contemporary Muslim to take heed to the fact that God elected David and blessed him with the Psalms; a book in the Holy Bible. Has a contemporary Muslim, regardless of their nationality or ethnicity, even read the Holy Quran to educate themselves on Gods other scripture, the Psalms? Does the majority of modern-day Muslims in eastern Europe, Africa or the Middle-East, or the one billion Muslims around the globe, truly aware of what the Psalms are? Profound verses from the Holy Bible, in which, God is declaring in the Holy Quran that he bestowed upon David? It would behoove us to believe that God is one and the same in the Holy Quran and in the Holy Bible.
From Initiator 35:25 of the Holy Quran, “If they disbelieve you, those before them have also disbelieved. There messengers went to them with clear proofs, and the Psalms, and the enlightening scriptures.” God commands that he decreed the Psalms and illuminating scriptures through his servants with ample verification. Furthermore, from the Holy Quran Prophets 21:105 “We have decreed in the Psalms as well as in other scriptures, that the Earth shall be inherited by my righteous worshipers.” This is Gods command from the Holy Quran that our world will be received by Gods genuinely virtuous believers that trust in the one and only God.
Allow us to now recite verses from the Psalms of the Holy Bible that provide solace in times of solitude as well as hazard. From Psalms 91:2 of the Holy Bible, “I will say of the Lord, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in Him I will trust.” Our sanctuary is God and we reside in his castle. We will have faith with conviction in the one and only God. From Psalm 19:14, “Let the words of my mouth and meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer.” It is through our genuine utterances of deeds and prayers through an open heart of compassion where we seek Gods recognition, so that we may request to grant from him to us a powerful support for redemption.
The following verse provides sufficient verification from the Holy Bible that God is the master of the universe: from Psalm 19:1 “The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows his handiwork.” God is the unconquerable monarch of the cosmos. His ether is encompassed with over one-hundred and fifty billion galaxies as his craft. From Psalm 19:7-9, “The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple; The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes; The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.” We must be obedient to Gods judgment in decontaminating our souls, for, he is aware of what we are unaware. We must be submissive to Gods testaments; the veracity of his decrees are undeniable. Opening our heart with genuine compassion causes our eyes to illuminate on a facial expression of jubilation. Our fear of God is orderly so that we may take heed and live life with bravery. From the Holy Bible, Psalm 23:4, “Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.”
May all of humanity glorify the omnipotent God, the unconquerable monarch of the cosmos. And perhaps, the Holy Bible can shed light upon the follower of the Holy Quran, and, vice versa. After all is said and done….is not, Judaism, the mother religion?
